SAFETY / QUALITY
Jake
Marshall, LLC has a 100% commitment to safety. Our primary
objective is for the safety and health of our employees who
are the reason for our success. Success in safety is measured
by a complete commitment from management to field personnel
who become part of a team dedicated to our objective. A safe
working environment in the field requires all facets of a
project from the owner to every subcontractor to work within
a defined framework pre determined for each project. Our commitment
to this framework begins with a Zero incident rate as our
primary goal.
Our
safety programs far exceed the minimum requirements for both
State and Federal OSHA programs. Our employees undergo annual
training, re-certification and must pass required exams in
all areas of Safety. Our Safety Staff works closely with our
Insurance carrier and their Loss Prevention programs to further
strengthen our safety programs.
We
also require the same safety commitment from our subcontractors,
as they are pre-qualified in terms of their safety program.
This allows Jake Marshall, LLC to form a partnership not only
with the General Contractor and/or owner but also with our
subcontractors on each project.
CORPORATE
SAFETY STATEMENT
Safety
is a requirement of all operations of Jake Marshall, LLC.
It is the purpose of this company to adhere to the regulations
pertaining to the construction Industry.
It
is a condition of employment with Jake Marshall, LLC that
all employees must adhere faithfully to the requirements of
this policy and the safety rules, instructions, and procedures
issued in conjunction with it. Failure to do so will result
in disciplinary action as outlined in the attached policy.
Jake
Marshall, LLC will make an effort to insure that the operations
of other contractors not under our control do not endanger
the safety of our employees. To this end, all employees are
required to report hazardous activities of other employees
to the appropriate officials.
The
Safety Director, General Superintendents and Foreman have
the full backing of management to enforce the provisions of
this policy as it relates to responsibilities assigned to
them.
LOSS
CONTROL STATEMENT
Loss
Control and Safety is the combined responsibility of all company
officers, executives, management personnel, supervisors, foreman
and lead employees.
However,
Loss Control and Safety succeeds only when management and
workers join in this responsibility and in the desire and
effort to create and maintain a continuous Loss Control and
Safety Program.
Safety begins with
an attitude and progresses to a habit.
Drug
Free Work Place
Our
commitment to safety also includes as top priority, a drug
free work environment. We have become partners with the State
of Tennessee in their Tennessee Drug Free Workplace Program.
The
illegal use of drugs and the abuse of alcohol are problems
that invade the workplace, endangering the health and safety
of the abusers and those who work around them. Jake Marshall,
LLC is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace free
of substance abuse without jeopardizing valued employees'
job security.
Our
policy formally and clearly states that the illegal use of
drugs and alcohol or prescription drugs will not be tolerated.
As a method of maintaining our policy, we have implemented
pre-employment and active employment substance testing.
Our
policy was developed with two basic objectives in mind: (1)
employees deserve a environment that is free from the negative
effects of drugs and alcohol and the problems associated with
their abuse, and (2) Jake Marshall, LLC has a responsibility
to maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
To
assist in providing a safe and healthy workplace, we maintain
a resource file of information on various means of employee
assistance in our community, including but not limited to
drug and alcohol abuse programs.
QUALITY
Our
Quality Assurance Program has been a natural outgrowth of
over 70 prior years of dedication to quality products and
services; of which Jake Marshall, LLC is justly proud. We
have accepted the guidance of the International Standards
Organization (ISO) and the American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) in establishing our quality.
